Some of the steelheads
were in peak spawn,
and some were poised
to spawn soon. Angling
for them lasts into
post spawn, when steelheads
drop back to the lake
to spend summer. Peck thinks
good angling for them
should last into May,
including for drop-backs
on the rivers.
