This is why
the trips fish. The browns
can be huge, growing large
because they summer in
Lake Ontario. Forage is more
abundant in the rivers and streams,
around Rochester, in fall
and winter. A few steelheads
also swim the waters. Jay's
guides are targeting steelheads
2 hours east in Salmon River,
and he'll return to that angling
throughout winter once the
trout waters freeze.
Salmon River is a larger
river that never
completely freezes over.
