Anchoring was tough
that day because of
the direction and strength
of the wind and current,
but a 10-pound blackfish
won the pool, some anglers
landed three or four
keepers apiece, and the
fishing was excellent on
the previous trip in
deeper water than
previously. The ocean was
46 degrees, plenty warm
for blackfish, and the
next open-boat trips
for the fishing were
probably going to sail
the next weekend.
