Dunwright Tackle Boxes

Fishing lures are always a challenge to store.

Put them in your tackle box, and the hooks create a tangled mess.

Dunwright Tackle came up with a solution.

Dunwright Tackle Boxes—built for big muskie lures, but also useful for saltwater plugs—feature individual compartments to keep the lures separate from each other.

No more bird nesting.

A number of other tackle boxes are built with similar compartments, but Dunwrights do more.

The compartments can be slid inside the box to store, or several can be hung outside for easy access.

The compartments are tough, clear plastic. So the lures can be easily seen outside the box, no guessing game on the water.

The photos can demonstrate this system quicker than words.

The lures hang from the hooks
inserted at holes in each top corner,
two holes per section for two lures.

The box itself is made from strong, white plastic.

The white is meant to make the lures easy to see and also to discourage absorption of heat from the sun.

That’s handy for soft plastic baits that melt in heat.

The boxes are available in several sizes.

Hang several compartments
on the outside for quick access,
or slip them inside for storage.

One size holds at least 60 lures, and another carries at least 42, and both are available in two heights: 13 ½ inches or 11 ½ inches.

Compartments are available for plugs, spinner baits or bucktails. Mix and match, or use all the same kind

This Minnesota company naturally thought of muskies when building a box for large lures.

That can certainly come in handy on any New Jersey waters where muskellunge live.

But Garden State anglers could also use the box to store oversized saltwater lures, like when trolling for stripers, blues or tuna.
