Now listen up.

You’re not currently on the boat--there’s no engine noise, no wind blowing in your ears.

So you've got no excuses if you can't "read" the following loud and clear.

And even if you were on the boat and underway, there’s no longer a need to yell above the din.

A product is available that can help boaters hear through all the noise, and it can also help protect hearing.

Piratecom makes an intercom system for boats that uses headsets for communications in the noisy environment. The headsets can also protect hearing from being damaged from the outside noise.

Wind-resistant microphones on the headsets allow people onboard to speak to each other without shouting above the roar of the engines and winds.

Piratecom also allows a marine radio to be heard or a cell phone to be used under such conditions. Or maybe you want to use the headset to listen to music during a long ride.

Offshore boaters can use Piratecom for all these purposes plus speaking between the bridge and the cockpit or other long distances on the large vessel. But the setup is equally useful on a smaller vessel, such as when you want to talk with your buddy on your bass boat while motoring across the lake without having to stop to be heard.

Piratecom is useful on small vessels, such as a bass boat,
as well as big ones.
Complete kits can be purchased that include all the parts to set up a boat with an intercom system for two to five people.

Some of the kits also include an Audio Combiner to connect a VHF radio, cell phone or such equipment.

Or the components can be purchased separately.

Ten-four captain? Loud and clear?
