Fished the Pequest Saturday morning 4/26 in the Pequest Wildlife Mgmt. Area - first time there. Got 2 nice size trout - 1 brookie & 1 rainbow on silver Panther Martin. Fishin buddy got 3 - brookie, brown & rainbow - also on small silver spinner. The size of the trout in this stretch of the river are considerably bigger than other places I noticed. Also - in this stretch of river you cannot have any bait on your posession - didn't know that - had salmon eggs in my vest - just FYI in case anyone else goes there. Nice stretch of river - good morning to be out there. Hot dog Johnny's for lunch ! |
