Went out to Round Valley reservoir yesterday 3-2-10 and tried for some trout. Didn't get any but saw 2 nice rainbows up to 25" pulled out in the area right at and around the boatramp. Alot of people were out in their boats and the ones who came in had done well. One guy said he was all the way across the lake and had action and the fish were up close to the shore in 2 feet of water - said the biggest he got was a 7 lb. rainbow - he also got lakers and browns. Most of the other guys were trolling with downriggers and hit some lakers and browns. The guys around the boatramp were all using bait - mealworms and marshmellows. I was using a small Phoebe and a small minnow plug fished slow - nothing - but fish were there. |
