Looking for a boat to buy? Want to catch a deal? Or simply got an urge to escape the dead of winter, checking out the latest in boats, boating equipment and fishing seminars?

The New Jersey Boat Show, the area’s final boat show this winter, rolls into the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison this coming week from Thursday through Sunday, February 21 through 24.

Billed as the “best-buying boat show,” the event will showcase more than 375 vessels, every conceivable type of craft from 15 to 37 feet, sometimes with discounts or incentives offered only during the show.

More than 30 boat dealers from throughout the region will exhibit a total of 70 different brands.

This is your opportunity to “kick the tires,” compare vessels side-by-side, jump on board and consider all the best bargains under one roof.

Personal watercrafts are also on hand, and so are boat engines.

So is a marketplace for boating equipment from electronics to towers to charts; fishing equipment from rods to lures; marinas to dock your boat; brokers to sell your boat; boating schools; boat financing, insurance, towing and transporting; and more.

Catch The Fisherman magazine’s daily fishing seminars on everything from largemouth bass fishing to surf fishing to party boat tuna fishing.

Or participate in The Fisherman’s hands-on clinics featuring knots, fly tying, trolling rigs, bunker chunking, offshore tips and more.

All these seminars and clinics are free with the price of admission.

Take the New Jersey boating safety course test-out exam for the state’s required fee of $25.

Parking is free.

Be sure to take advantage of discount coupons or two-for-one date nights. For convenience or to avoid lines, buy your show tickets online.

See you at the show!
