Surplus trout, averaging almost 11 inches and weighing more than 1/2 pound, will be randomly stocked, along with scheduled allocations, for the remainder of the season.
After addressing last year's disease issue at the Division of Fish and Wildlife's Pequest Trout Hatchery, production has gone extremely well, resulting in surplus trout being available to the state's trout anglers.
For more information on the spring stocking season, including schedules and allocations for each water, see http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/trtinfo_spring15.htm on the division's web site.
