The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) is meeting this afternoon to adopt recommendations for 2017 management measures of summer flounder.
As previously reported, a two fish limit at 19 inches with a significantly reduced season is being considered.
JCAA, and the fishing community in general, has requested "status quo" wiith no reductions from last year and no decisions be made until a current stock assessment has been completed.
Congressman Frank Pallone and Senator Cory Booker have joined in support of this request.
