From an email from the Jersey Coast Anglers Association on Dec. 23:

There will be a meeting on Jan. 5 to discuss the options proposed for the 2017 summer flounder regulations.

NONE OF THEM ARE GOOD.

All  anglers are encouraged to attend and voice their opinions.

This is a very serious matter.

The options proposed, whether warranted or not, will have a devastating effect on the entire recreational fishing community and businesses that depend on it.

JCAA has called for an updated fishery stock assessment and evaluation before any reduction from the current regulations are made.

The options include:

Inches    Number of Fish    Number of Days

Option 1        18"                  2 fish                      59
Option 2        19"                  3 fish                      96
Option 3        19"                  3 fish                      99
Option 4        19"                  3 fish                      99
Option 5        19"                  3 fish                      128 coast

Delaware Bay 18"               3 fish                      128
