From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife on July 29:

Due to the presence of a suspected algae bloom (Cyanobacteria) which can be harmful to people and pets at Amwell Lake, all contact with the lake's water should be avoided.

Fish caught in the lake should not be consumed.

Updates will be posted on the Division of Fish and Wildlife's Facebook page and website and will be sent in emails to those signed up for the Division's emails.
