Editor's note: In a controversial move for anglers, New Jersey is going to charge a fee to drive on northern Brigantine's beach.
Previously, anglers could drive that stretch if they purchased a Brigantine beach-buggy permit.
Now they'll have to pay a separate $50 if they're a N.J. resident and $75 if they're a non-resident for a permit from the state to drive that beach.
