From the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife on Aug. 8:

Due to the presence of a suspected blue-green algae bloom (Cyanobacteria) which can be harmful to people and pets at Pemberton Lake (Burlington Co.), all contact with the lake's water should be avoided.

Fish caught in the lake should not be consumed.
