Flambeau Maximizers | ||||
Lures are some of the most difficult tackle to store. The bigger the lure, the more difficult, too. Full of hooks. Flambeau makes two tackle boxes, the Maximizer and the Maximizer Cube, built for storing large lures. Those could be lures for salmon or muskies in freshwater to striped bass and tuna in salt. The Maximizer, in the photo above, is the bigger of the two, featuring two removable racks that hold more than 50 lures apiece. This box could be most useful in the truck, boat or garage, when portability isn’t so much an issue. Part of each rack is actually impregnated with the company’s Zerust that emits a vapor that protects metal, like hooks, from rust and corrosion. The Maximizer Bait Cube, in the photo at left, is the smaller of the two, and is more portable, like for traveling. This box features one removable rack that can store more than 50 lures, and a nylon case that includes tool and accessory storage, with drain grommets for when water is a threat.
