Fuji Torzite Guides

What angler with any
experience hasn’t seen
a newbie do something
like reel a swivel through
the rod guides?

Yikes.

Anglers protect those guides,
including because a nick on the
guides, say from a swivel, might
cut the line, losing a catch.

A guide is the one rod part that
touches the line, a reason that
guides are important.

The ideal guide includes a ceramic ring inside the metal frame,
Fuji says.

The company this past year developed a "supreme ceramic ring,"
it says: the Torzite.

This was 32 years after Fuji, arguably the best guide maker, introduced the SiC, or silicon carbide, ring, a very hard ceramic.

Torzite guides are a ceramic even stronger.

The strength allows the guide to be slimmer, decreasing weight.

Lighter and stronger is an “eternal proposition” in Fuji’s development of guides, the company says.

The name derives from torus, the name for a ring in geometry, and “ite,” a suffix that can mean a rock, mineral or fossil.

Torzite guides are harder, smoother, tougher, slimmer and lighter.

They’re the best guides Fuji ever developed, the company says.

Newbies might still reel a swivel through the guides.

You’ll be even more upset.

For more info, visit the website from Anglers Resource, Fuji’s North American distributor, in Alabama.

Also see the Torzite webpage on Fuji’s European website, including for a link to lots of videos demonstrating the guides.
