Now here's
a livewell pump.
Hooker Electric’s
Hi-Flow 4,500 can
pump 4,500 gallons
of water per hour.
It's designed to last,
the company says.
The internal
aluminum body
is housed in solid PVC.
The shaft is
titanium, and aluminum and titanium were used,
because the company considered electrolysis, it says.
Water-cooled, the pump features variable speed.
Either a dial can be used to control the speed, like how a dial controls a stereo's volume, or a button can be used to change the speed, among three levels: low, medium or high.
The pump runs on 12-volt DC, but the company offers a converter
for
24-volt DC.
Hooker Electric also offers a manifold system to distribute the water to multiple livewells.
The company, most known for producting an electric reel, including for swordfising, began when the founder developed the reel.
Tired of other reels needing repairs, the founder used a small lathe and mill to develop the first reel, the company says.
The reel proved to be lighter and more compact but faster than those from competitors, it says.
It gave an extra edge, it says.
