The best braided line just
got better, one reviewer said.

PowerPro Maxcuatro, winner of this year’s award for best new fishing line at ICAST, is 25-percent thinner than PowerPro’s previous line.

The new line, made from the latest Spectra Fiber technology, is also softer and suppler, PowerPro says.

ICAST is the annual International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, known for introducing new fishing products.

Maxcuatro achieves longer casting and improved lure movement, the company says.

The thinner diameter cuts through both water and weeds better than the previous line, and increases line capacity on fishing reels, it says.

The line is available in Moss Green and Hi-Vis Yellow colors.

Moss Green can be ideal for both clear and colored water, like lakes with algae blooms.

The green “is similar to many bio organisms – it will blend in,” the company says.

The yellow is made for when anglers want to see the line better, like during trolling, but also during some situations when casting.

A fluorocarbon tippet can be tied onto the yellow, if fish might be spooked by the color.

Maxcuatro is available in 50-, 65-, 80- and 100-pound strengths, and 150, 500, 1,500 and 3,000 yards.

Maybe you thought PowerPro was already the best line.
