Guy Cotten Montauk Spray Top | ||||
Can you feel it: Brrr. But if you’re dressed right, you won't feel cold. Guy Cotton’s Montauk Spray Top, introduced last fall, is lighter than the company’s rugged, heavier Surf Tops that were already on the market. Springtime, not too cold, not too warm, can be perfect for Spray Top. In-between weather like this is a purpose of the top. Built for surf fishing, Spray Top borrows attributes of the heavier-duty Surf Top. Spray Top is made from a light, waterproof but breathable fabric. It features neoprene cuffs with Velcro meant to create a waterproof seal. The waistband is also neoprene with Velcro to be adjustable. The collar is a soft polyurethane, like a rubber, with a Velcro closure, also to help keep out water. Unlike Surf Top’s centered zipper down the neck, Spray Top’s zipper is on the shoulder. The zipper allows the top to be put on or taken off, and allows the angler to regulate body temperature. Spray Top also features a chest pocket. The top is available in black or red, and $150 is the suggested retail price. “I’d trust pretty much anything from that company,” one blogger wrote about Spray Top. Can you feel it: Spray Top? It’s meant to feel good. At press time, Spray Top was yet to be included on Guy Cotten’s website. It's expected to be included before long. |
