iBall

Sure, you can make a best guess when backing the trailer to the boat, trying to place the ball under the hitch.

You can back up,
jump out of the truck, look at the hitch, see that you missed, jump back in the truck, and try again.

You can do that probably a few times, until you get it right.

Or you can use an iBall, and get it right without the fuss.

The iBall Wireless Trailer Hitch Camera is a camera that attaches to the bumper and transmits a view of the ball and hitch to a screen inside a vehicle.

The camera, shown in the photo at left, powered by a rechargeable battery, attaches to the bumper using an “industrial strength” magnet, the company says.

It transmits wirelessly to the screen.

The 3-1/2-inch screen plugs into the vehicle’s power-port or cigarette lighter to run.

The iBall can be used for other trailers, too, like for a camper.

You could get lots of practice backing down to the hitch, without the camera, and, eventually, sometimes get it right the first time.

With an iBall, you get it right every time.
