Pro Fish Chum

Chum can work like a charm to
lure fish to chomp down on bait.

But the convenience of fresh or frozen chum can lack charm.

If chum is fresh and some is
leftover by the end of a trip, it’s
no longer fresh for the next trip.

If chum is frozen and some is leftover, it’s thawed by the end of a trip. Refreezing it for the next trip is like refreezing raw steak for dinner. Yech.

Figuring out the right amount of fresh or frozen chum to take on a trip is inconvenient and impossible, and in both cases, the leftover chum is thrown out and wasted.

What’s a chummer to do?

Use Pro Fish Chum.

Self-contained bucket kits come with a bucket for storing the chum, a mesh bag for dispensing the chum in the water, and a scoop to toss the chum in the water.

A dry chum that comes in vacuum-sealed packs for long life, Pro Fish Chum is offered in various scents, sizes and packaging for different types of fishing.

The chum comes in freshwater blends and both inshore and offshore saltwater blends. The packages are available in 1-pound, 2-pound , 5-pound and 10-pound weights.

Pro Fish Chum can be purchased in the packs alone and used in your own chum bag or can be bought in self-contained kits. The kits come with either a self-dispensing, plastic, mesh bag or a bag, bucket and scoop or everything needed for chumming.

Bucket Kits come with the chum, a bucket for storing the chum on your trip, a mesh bag for hanging and dispensing the chum in the water, and a scoop for tossing chum in the water.

Nighttime Kits feature the chum and a light stick that can be attached to a mesh bag that's included. The light can be an extra attractant when night fishing.

The chum covers the entire water column from top to bottom, but most stays suspended to attract fish to you, the company says. That also helps anglers never lose sight of the chum line. The chum also won’t attract birds or sharks, the company says, because the chum doesn't contain blood, flesh or bones. A pound of Pro Fish Chum reportedly equals 4 pounds of fish.

No less important, Pro Fish Chum saves time, effort, money and
mess, because grinding your own chum takes time and effort to buy or catch the bait, grind it, store it in a bag or container and soap yourself down afterward.
