Surf Rocket

Think you’re an angler who’s got it all?

Not so fast, my friend.

Have you seen the Surf Rocket? Wow.

Every surf angler has spent time watching fish swirl on the surface,
bait bust and birds dive in the water beyond casting range.

Until now, those surf casters were out of luck. All they could do was hope the fish swam closer.

Enter the Surf Rocket.

The Surf Rocket uses compressed air to cast bait like a cannon, able to launch the bait more than 500 feet away.

The angler uses bait molds--six molds come with the Surf Rocket, and additional molds are available separately--to freeze the bait in a cylindrical shape that is stuffed into the launcher.

The bait, rig, like a high-low rig or a fish-finder rig, and hooks are inserted in
the mold before freezing, and the angler fills the rest of the mold with water to
fill excess space with ice. The eye of
the rig's swivel is kept above the top of the frozen bait with a toothpick. The line is tied on when the angler is ready
to fish.

The hooked bait is launched, the line peels out from the reel, and bam. You’re in the fish, many feet away.

A 12-volt air compressor comes with the surf rocket to create the compressed air. A small, portable air tank, commonly available at department stores, can also be used.

Bait molds are used
with water to freeze
the bait into a cylindrical
shape that the rocket
can launch.

Each launch uses all the air that the rocket holds, dumping the entire chamber. The compressor takes about 30 seconds to fill it, and an air tank fills it faster.

An adjustable valve with a gauge is used to vary the speed of the air released to launch the bait different distances. The amount of air that’s used to fill the rocket can also determine distances.

Anglers can also chum with the Surf Rocket, launching bait alone, without a hook and line, to draw fish to the area. They can also shoot a lure out to the water.

Go out and buy this product, and now you’ve got it all.

The Surf Rocket is currently available at Pell’s Fish & Sport in Bricktown, Grumpy’s Tackle in Seaside Park and Murphy’s Hook House in Toms River.
