Tournament Grade Tackle

“Producing Only Tournament Grade Tackle, When Quality Counts.”

Tournament Grade Tackle, well-known as TGT Tackle, is becoming increasingly popular, especially for their bunker spoons. The Linden, N.J., based company also makes rod riggers and swivel rod holders, and is developing more products

This is high-quality stuff, and the products are indeed used by many experts, including Capt. Brian Rice from Jersey Devil Charters from the Highlands, one of this site’s advertisers, not only to compete in tournaments, but to win them.

TGT Bunker Spoons

TGT Bunker Spoons

A stainless steel spoon with a powder coating made to be indestructible, standing up to toothy fish and rough bottom, resisting fading, able to last through years of use.

A rattle for sound and vibration. An original hook design. Featuring eyes,

which predators are known to hone in on. A teaser tail as a secondary lure for enhanced attraction. Dual color, simulating more action, provoking attacks.

Three designs:

10-1/2” Bunker Spoon. For inshore species. Action meant to out-fish others hands down. Works equally well in clean and dirty water. Yellow/White or Green/White.

14” Horse Bunker Spoon. Similar to the smaller version, but taking it to a whole new level and size. Keeps the small fish away, letting you target trophies. Yellow/White or Green/White.

Herring Spoon. When you need to match the hatch during the spring and fall bait migrations. Uses the same features like a rattle and teaser tail, but in a unique size and color patterns. Colors: Blue Back Herring, Hickory Shad Gold, Silver Back Smokey Joe and Mackerel Green.

TGT Rod Riggers

Whether trolling a small baitcaster for inshore species or a big-game, 80-class reel for giant bluefin tuna, these rod riggers are built for the task. Reportedly the first rod riggers made to handle most models of big-game conventional reels.

Marine-grade stainless steel. Designed for reliability and to be portable. Reel rest and rod cradle built for unusual security for no chance of the rod slipping out. A state-of-the-art action for considerably less force to remove the rod after hook-up. Allows the angler to keep leverage in the boat instead of stretched out over the side like most other riggers. Easier for anglers of any size or stature to use.

TGT Rod Riggers

Easy rod removal.

The unique design allows the length of line and drag to be adjusted while keeping the rod securely in the rigger. A patented “Z Notch” that locks the rigger into the boat’s rod holder for security. Never worry about losing your rod and reel. A rubber reel seat for a non-slip grip, also protecting the reel’s finish.

Comes complete with safety strap to secure the rod and reel.

TGT Rod Holder Swivel

A stainless steel insert that drops into any flush-mounted rod holder, transforming it into a swivel-based holder.

Advantages of a swivel rod holder are well known to offshore anglers: The rod tip follows the fish at hook-up; the trolling pattern can be adjusted by rod angle; the rod tip can be swung in for rigging and swung out for fishing.

TGT Rod Holder Swivel

No tackle-class limitations. Extra heavy duty.

Fully adjustable nylon clutch, allowing the tension to be adjusted, adapting to any species of fish.

--No need to alter holder mounting patterns
--No need to replace existing holders to convert to a swivel
--Prevents loss of expensive gear overboard with “angle rod holders” or “outrodders”
--No hassles trying to find a rod holder to hold a bait tray like with dedicated swivel rod holders
--Easy to use and compact, able to be stored in your pocket or tackle drawer
